SWIMMERS brings classic synth pop with a modern flair on the trippy atmospherics of “SWM”. The production has a flawless tenor to it, for they incorporate so much within the singular sparkling sound. With roots in electro, they bring together elements of jungle, dubstep, and pop into the forefront resulting in a lush mix. Best of all the textures themselves appear to absolutely glow with such life as they roll on through. Percussion has a footwork tactile quality to it, with the way each snare hits adding to the mystical presence of the piece. Vocals further embrace this smooth, luxurious atmosphere.
Right from the beginning there is a sense of space. Sounds echo off into the distance. Melodies waft up into the air with such glee as they sprawl out into the infinite. Vocals have a yearning presence to them, full of love and fiery passion. Evolution here happens with the utmost of care for when they bring the bass in it transforms into something quite serene. Layer upon layer comes into the fray for the many patterns intermingle in a way that becomes truly visceral to behold. Her voice contains multitudes as the lyrics seem perfectly suited for late-night dreaming. When they strip things down to the bare essentials it becomes something truly beautiful to behold, as they employ a geometric sort of tenor into the fray, as the song’s finale completely and fully lets loose.
