Vuola embraces a truly epic classic rock kick with “Laugh Vivid Often Adore Unity”. The buildup on here is one of the finest I have heard in a long time. Going from the intimate to the bombastic is no easy feat, but they make it sound that way. With an evolution of the sound that incorporates a whole slew of different instruments the piece has a liveliness that is doubly refreshing. Verses get nicely woven together for there is a bit of a poetry to the way that he delivers each line.
Acoustic guitar has a delicacy to it right from the very beginning. With this the piece he brings the listener on a fantastic journey. Over the course of the work the rest of the band gradually comes into view. Drums serve as a sheer force of nature fleshing out the rest of the atmosphere. Keyboards too add that sense of power to all of it. Completely wild the rest of the song becomes increasingly unhinged. Thanks in part to the long track length I am reminded of some of the Doors’ epic trips. Interplay here proves to be of the essence as there is that sense of community that the song reflects with such earnestness. For the final stretch things come to a head as the rest of the work seemingly loses it in a way that feels earned.
