Caxiel - Out Of Time
Caxiel takes on the efficient, economical beat of classic New Order and brings into the modern era with “Out Of Time”. Futuristic yet nostalgic at the same time, they propel the whole experience forward at a breakneck speed. The firm rooted electro grooves help glide things along for there is a degree of buoyancy to the way that the song evolves. Synthesizers here are of the essence as they work as a melodic delivery of the very piece, with all of it shifting and elaborating upon the initial theme in a way that adds to the inherent dignity of the work. By far the highlight are those Human League vocals, reminiscent of an angular delivery style. All of it really does work together for each element accentuates the power of all others, resulting in a sense of community.
From the very beginning the brittle keys take over. This initial pulse of rhythm gets built up over the course of the work. Beats, additional flourishes, all of these work in service of the absolutely massive scope of the sound. Keeping things relatively long also works in the track’s favor for there is a beauty to behold over the course of the entire piece. As the song lets the initial theme gain a rock cadence it delves into a glam rock decadence as they make sure that the tempos are pushed all the way to the absolute breaking point.
“Out Of Time” shows off the deft storytelling and sound sculpting of Caxiel for the entire journey has a highly personal quality to it.
